As part of its 2015 Strategic Plan, the NCNLA Board of Directors realigned the organization's volunteer leadership structure, engaging a broader scope of perspectives to better inform association programs and services. Volunteers meet twice annually (once in-person) and serve two-year terms.

NCNLA Councils

  • Provide regional reports to identify trends within the state's green industry
  • Evaluate and provide segment perspective on current and prospective NCNLA programs and services
  • Recommend new volunteer leaders for nomination by the Board of Directors

 

Grower Council

10 members

Primarily active in the wholesale or re-wholesale nursery industry

Minimum of two council members from each of the three member regions

Landscape Council

9 members

Primarily active in the landscape industry as a landscape installation, design or maintenance business

Minimum of two council members from each of the three member regions

Retail/Allied Council

6 members

Primarily active in retail nursery business (minimum of 4 - one from each of three member regions)

Primarily active in a business or profession closely allied to green industry (maximum 2)
